I recently bought a 2004 gs500f with the lower fairings took off and the clips and screws/bolts were missing. I found a site here http://www.bikebandit.com/2004-suzuki-motorcycle-gs500f-fender-cowling-installation-parts-gs500fk4/o/m6061sch503048 that sells the parts, can someone help with which ones I will need?

Buying OEM hardware will get really expensive really quick. My fairings are missing a good number of screws/clips. I'm going to take ones that I DO have into a hardware store, dealership, etc and just try to find some matching ones for pennies.
that sounds like a great idea, but I have nothing to go by, if you do this could you let me know exactly what you get?
-Lee-
Oh wow, they are ALL missing? If I get off my butt to check on it I'll make sure I let you know.
yea they are all missing. the guy originally was going for the naked look and had them all stored together but lost them. But any help is appreciated.

I bought an aftermarket set from the dealership they are called "Screwed" and they fit my fairings fairly close!
Mary
How much did the set from the dealership cost?

if you are going to buy OEM from BikeBandit, you are looking to purchase 2 of each of #'s 6, 10 and 11 and 1 part #4 for the fender cowling..
http://www.bikebandit.com/showschematic/m6061sch503048 (http://www.bikebandit.com/showschematic/m6061sch503048)
and 2 of each of part's #'s 6 and 8, as well as 4 # 7's for the body cowling installation.

that's just the screws and the one clip on the underside of the body farings, but it should be all you ned to hold it together.. there are a few plastic clips that are mixed in, but I would imagine you'll be ok without them
He puts the right clip in, he puts the left clip in, and he drives it all around.... he spends all his money, and doesn't get a thing, cause thats what bike bandits all about!
*humming hokey pokey theme music*
Ok so mxfun I take it you have had or know someone who had a bad experience with bike bandits?

That sounded like I was slamming BikeBandit.com. My bad. Actually its not a bad site, but they are waaay overpriced. If thats the only place you can find something, buy it. I can usually find something cheaper by looking around at other OEM sites, for example CheapCycleParts.com. I actually just felt like typing something stupid funny.
Haha ok thanks I'll look around some more, I'm not in that much of a hurry since it won't be coming out of the garage for a while because of the snow and winter weather.

C.C.P.com is cool cause they use the same parts set up as B.B.com. They just charge less for it.
$10 for I think it was a set of 20. They have bigger kits etc. If I remember I'll take a pic of them later today so you can see. For me it beat trying to find specifics

Please do, more than one of us are looking forward to it.
Edit: With a bit of searching I found a site that provides bolt sets.

And here are the Screwed ones

That sounds like a deal, and yea just post some pics and I can see exactly which ones I will need. Can you get them from any dealership?

The second kit is the one I bought. http://www.powroll.com/screwed.htm
Mary
So did you already have the clips for the fairings?
-Lee-
Yeah, I already had the clips.
Mary
Do you think you could post some pics of the clips, I have some metal that would be perfect for them and was thinking of fabricating my own.
-Lee-
Which clips are you talking about. The little black ones that almost look like screws themselves or the little metal things that slip in between the bolt and fairing?
Mary
