bike not starting , im thinking its either the clutch switch or the kill swithc!?? i turn the ignition, clutch in kill swithc is off , press the starter nothign happens! all lights come on when the ignition is in , this happens alot but usually it starts up after a few tries :S but now it wont start at all???!!!!
Try holding the starter button in, then pull the clutch lever in slowly. Sometime the clutch switch gets out of whack if the bike has ever been dropped. Remember when worse comes to worse you can always push (bump) start the bike.

yea ive dropped the bike on the clutch lever side n the clutch lever SNAPPED, argh okay ill try push start , but even if it does start what will i need to do next time i dont wanna push start all the tiem :technical: :2guns: :dunno_black: :dunno_white:
If you follow the wires for clutch switch you will eventually get to a pair of bullet connectors. To bypass the switch, unplug it and connect the two bullet connectors from the main harness together. If it starts, you've found the problem.
Works for the sidestand switch too.

what ive done jst then is push started = kill siwthc good / clutch switch bad , can u gimme a description of the bullet connectors or ap ic i donno wat it is
would i be able to keep those clutch switch wires connected directly? even if the engine is turned off n stuff will it do any harm , i think it wud be so much easier to start the engine without having to hold the clutchin

Connecting those wires just closes a circuit, it doesn't draw any power so there is no problem leaving them connected. Just be sure to have the bike in neutral or pull the clutch lever in before hitting the starter switch or the bike will lurch forward.

Problem solved :L thankYOU
i didnt have to connect any wires , i took out the clutch lever n inside was a lever that touches the wires of the clutch switch , so wat i did was push the lever to the other side so that the wires are always touching AND THEN blocked up the whole wit a ?nut?(i think its called a nut) so that it wudnt be able to slide to the other side and VWALA! starts without having to hold the clutch in or connecting any wires !
heres a self drawn diagram

replace your battery cables. ok, take them off and check them. i replaced my positive cable today. symptoms were inconsistant, annoying, and not easily seen/replicated.
the positive cable was corroded down under the insulation. it might/might not start whenever. lights would CLICK off, no power, then the next time, sure it would fire. weirdness.
wiggle those cables HARDand hten try starting. i'll bet on it. 2 cents.
:)

:dunno_white: sorry but r u talking bout the clutch switch :dunno_white:
I think he's talking about the battery cables because he had a problem with them, but it sounds like you've fixed yours by bypassing the clutch switch. As someone else said, just make sure you're in neutral or the clutch is in before you hit the start button.
