Title: have a question for a friend of mine
Post by: raivis on February 16, 2010, 04:38:57 PM
my buddy was in a wreck today on his 84 honda vf700 sabre.   it was a 35 mile an hr road.   he locked up the brakes but didn't stop.  cop estimated about 5-10 mph collision.  wedged his bike in-between the front tire and fender.    my question is what is the likely hood that he bent his forks?  only thing we have noticed is his front fender is bent.  what would be a good way to check his forks?

put a straitedge against the forks.  That will tell you if they are bent or not.

The odds are pretty good the forks got tweaked. May not be by much. If I were a betting man... ,LOL that line makes me giggle, any way as I was saying if I were a betting man I would bet they're tweaked at least a little.
