Title: Starts Great
Post by: sanjeevvjoshi on February 17, 2010, 02:32:34 PM

I am really excited riding my 2005 GS. I just bought one and have been trying it out; unfortunately the weather is not too good here in Colorado. I hope it will improve with time.

I had starting problems, but figured it out through the forum. Thanks.

I am keen on tricks, hence started out with doing a stoppie. I was wondering if someone had experience could send me some good lessons' video link.

But all in all  I am in love with the bike.

I have a small trouble - Got it with the clutch handle bars partly broken - looking for new ones. Cannot find a pair. Let me know if someone has a spare set I can use/buy.

Sanjeev.

You can find tons of levers at E-bay, they're very cheap!

I've lived in Golden (studied at CSM), what a sweet city!!!

Great. However dumb I might sound, I found some deals on ebay for clutch lever but can't figure out if I can use the same one for the front brake lever.

Besides, I study at Mines too. I am assuming you completed your Bachelors degree here.

I have a set of these, no problems with them, no more fragile than the stock levers, imho

Your best bet to learn how to stunt is to befriend some of your local stunt riders.  B-more X is one of the big ones around here  http://www.bmorex.com/  You can also find info on http://www.stuntlife.com/

As far as tips, it helps to air down your front tire to give more stability in a stoppie.  A bigger rear sprocket will help with getting your bike up into a wheelie.  And remember to roll on throttle as you drop the front end from a wheelie to soften the drop so you don't blow the fork seals.  Have fun and try to keep one wheel facing the pavement   :thumb:
