Title: Front brake Rotor
Post by: Old man on February 18, 2010, 11:23:31 PM
Hi guys,

Its been a while since I posted last, since then I've clocked up 104,654 kms and my front rotor is looking a little worse for wear, my question is where can i get an aftermarket rotor that will fit.
I have been quoted $423.00 suzuki gen part, from dealer, and $399.00 after market. I have rung around and the best price for a second was $200.00.

Can someone also give the minimum thickness allowed for a rotor.

My ride is a 2006 Gs500f and its 3 yrs 2 mths young.

Cheers Old man.   :thumb:

The minimum thickness is stamped into the rotors on most Japanese bikes.  I believe it is 4mm on a stock GS front rotor.  I don't know what shipping would be for you but you cam always try ebay.
