Title: LOL look how I "ninja'd" my GS
Post by: thegenericchen on February 19, 2010, 08:19:33 AM
Cut fender, new rear signals, progrip tank stickAr, got bar-end mirrors coming in the mail, better handlebar position (handles lots better IMO), and my favorite.....DIY HOMEMADE NARUTO WINDSHIELD....LOLOL!

Used to have a windshield and it got trashed, figured i could make one out of something....and saw my $2 Walmart trashcan.... and found a ricey "exhaust plate" sticker (made of thin aluminum)... mocked it and realizes what it looked like. omg

Need to do something about those front turn signals...

$27 worth of changes.

Comments +/- welcomed. not sure if im keeping that LOL windshield.

Ah keep it.  I like the ingenuity.  I would even say lose that rice plate on it and leave her alone.  Goes well with the color scheme you have.  :thumb:

What was the reason for the plate in the first place?  Stiffness?

Looks to be the stock graphite wheels from the '90's.

+1

Yeah, man, very slick look to it.  Such an incredibly clean looking bike.
If you could give a brief tutorial on that windscreen, that'd be awesome.

Pictures tend to make things look better. Just keep that mind, haha.   :icon_lol:

If anything, props for ingenuity.

It's amazing when you chuck the mirrors how "clean" a bikes look becomes.

What does this mod have to do with a "Ninja"?

It deals with a cartoon ninja, not a Kawasaki Ninja.
Like he said in the original post: "DIY HOMEMADE NARUTO WINDSHIELD"
Naruto's the name of the tv show.

See how the metal plate on the headband resembles the front of the windscreen?

So that's a windshield? It looks just like a cover over the wires..I wonder how much wind it actually off-sets :?

My terminology might not be correct, but it does a good job of hiding the wires.

Bar-end mirrors are in the mail.

Bike might be for sale soon!
