I've tried twice before to get the spanning tool on the rear shock to dial it up to 7. I'm going to try again tonight. If you've done it, which side of the bike can I get at it from? Maybe underneath? Handle of the tool pointed up or down? First time I tried my neighbor came to see what was wrong because of all the swearing. Thanks.
John.
On the right side if you want to dial clockwise, on the left side to dial counter-clockwise. The tool goes in toward the front of the shock, i.e. between the airbox and the shock, the handle pointing ~45 degrees towards the front, and slightly downward. You will have very little room to turn, it will end soon against the dogbones. The trick is to put it as high as possbile on the shock base, so that it will hit the dogbones later, since they are slanted backwards.
I love this forum. Thanks! Got on the right side of the bike, pointed the handle towards the airbox, got it on the shock, and used a screwdriver to pry it around to move the adjustment. Repeat 2 more times, and it's on setting 7. I swear it goes faster now too.
John.
Just an add on question here..
From the rear of the bike facing forwards, position 7 will be clockwise, correct?
Thanks.

Yep.
