The bolts holding the exhaust to the engine fell out for no reason... What kind of bolts are they and where can i find them?
Suzuki dealer or a metric section at a good hardware store.
I don't recall the thread-size designator, but if you find the Allen (hex socket) head metric bolts which fit a 6mm Allen wrench, that's what I recall the wrench size as being, and it's likley only one thread size. Length you'll either figure out, or someone else will know and post. If all four have not fallen out, remove one and take it with you to compare. Also, please add the info to the wiki when you get it.

When you put them back in, use antisieze. You might also want new exhaust gaskets.
Thanks for the info! I will go find those bolts and post the info there.
I don't know how to upload the info on GS wiki. The bolt size is M8 x 40 Pitch=1.25
That would be a M8 x 1.25 x 40 bolt. What grade/class, was there a little number like 8.8 or 10.9 on the bolt head?
I bought about 15 of these from ACE the other week. They are black oxide and according to the guy there, they are more resilient than grade 8?! I don't know if I believe that but hey............................
It said 8.8 on the ones I got. But then I got the hex head instead of the stock allen cap.
Everyone is right. I just pulled mine last night and replaced them with black oxide for the look/strength. Whatever metal Suzuki uses for their heads seems to react badly with the steel bolts after a few years. I've snapped two off in different bikes, and also blew the head apart a couple times now. I've heard its because of the way the two different metals heat and cool over the years. It causes them to oxidize and almost weld themselves together. Once they get like that there isn't much you can do besides hope the bolt snaps so you can drill it and use a heli coil.
