Title: Wish me luck!
Post by: javio1 on October 17, 2003, 01:15:11 PM
I have just ground down the brake caliper bracket in hopes that I can mount my GSXR wheel tonight. If it doesn't work I will have to wait until next week to make some adjustments. I don't have that many tool sat home, I do the work at my job ( they have all the good power tools there). So wish me luck guys, I hope i got it right the first time!

how much did you grind off?

Got the 1mm hardened washer for a spacer? (sucks to have to make a trip in the middle of doing it!)

Nice to have a 2nd set of hands to hold up the wheel so you can slide the axle thru without knackering the bearings.

Oh and good luck!

I'll get the washer on the way home. I ground off about 10mm according to the write up on Pablo's site. I hope it's right!  :thumb:

if you ground off too little you wont need a washer for spacer, or a thinner one and your pad will rub the rotor until you get it wore down. If you took off too much you'll need to use a thicker washer. Cant really mess it up unless you took 10mm off the wrong side of the brake arm!
