Title: Verify something for me before I order parts.
Post by: ke7syv on March 07, 2010, 06:34:46 PM
Ok so right now I have the 20-pilot, ? washers, stock exhaust, and stock airbox. I wanna verify two things before I order the lunchbox and new jets.
1) The WIKI says with...Stock exhaust w/ Lunchbox, 20/65/142.5 (or 62.5 w/2 washers but I'll get a 65) Everyone agree thats a good?
2) Will having the timing advance mod done (by GsTwins' very own Bob Broussard) affect the jetting any or will that combo still work.

Please chime in with any additional wisdom. I have done tons of reading on this site. My counter is 6d 6h 49m so I have researched and read around. Just want to pick up any last bits of info and verify the above.

So nobody has anything? Where are all of the 2001+ riders? We need to get the wiki filled in. Way to many gaps when we have all of the info hee on the board.

the mids sound too big, I have exhaust and lunch box and only run 65 mid with 1 washer. But i dunno what just lunch box would need. Also advancing the timing will change the afr slightly but not enough to require rejet unless your too lean already.

I've got a 2001 with stock exhaust and a lunchbox and advanced timing by bob.
I'm running 20, 62.5, 142.5, 1 washer and 3 turns.  Buddha has told me it is difficult to get the lunchbox and stock exhaust to behave.

Check out the jetting matrix http://beergarage.com/GSMatrix.aspx (http://beergarage.com/GSMatrix.aspx) and enter your setup when you get it running.  I am the only one on there now with the stock ex and the lunchbox.

Cheers

Thanks a lot. So whats's the altitude where you live? I live a 300' so I suppose the best way to go would be get the 62.5 and add washers if needed as apposed to the 65 and then no way to lean it. Now what were the part numbers I need for the dealer. I've bought jets before but can't remember...

I'm at about 150 ft.  I rode up a hill once, with no ill effect.
