Title: My project bike :)
Post by: noob on March 11, 2010, 02:59:14 PM
I've only ever posted here once, but as I am using this site for info for my GSR project, I guess I should start contributing :)

Well, I took one standard K7 GS500F, dropped it many times by being generally daft and decided I wanted something different.

The general mods done before the warrenty run out were a carbon fibre exhaust, renthal bars, and ripping a mirror off with the road.

Over the last month I have been fiddling with things and decided to go all the way with modifying it.

So far I have stubbied the exhaust, advanced timing a bit too far, fitted Jellymould clipons, replaced the airbox with cones and put in new jets using the starting point on the Wiki, started a temp paint job and fitted GPZ900R clocks.

Most of these parts are just optional extras:

New carb setup:

Clipons fitted:

Clocks mostly in, they need more tweaking still:

Pretty much how she looks now:

I plan to get the head sent off for gas flowing and better valve springs within the next few months.

GSXR dual disk front end is on the cards, and a fuel sender will be fitted as I have the guage, so may aswell use it.
