Title: 4 valves per cylinder
Post by: wstehley on October 19, 2003, 06:30:01 PM
:? I've seen some sites such as this one http://www.motorbikes.be/models.asp?id=3864 listing the gs500f engine as having 4 valves per cylinder.  Cycle World new bike article said the same.  Can anyone confirm/deny the 4 valves per cylinder?

Thanks,
Bill

Its a typo, or suggestive advertising (lie).

The GS has 4 valves total. 2 per cylinder.

The latest Cycle World goes through the new models offered by each make for 2004.  It has a paragraph on the GS500F, and it ALSO mentions 4 valves per cyclinder.  However, that is right alongside some verbage about the venerable 487cc motor that descended from [blah..blah..blah].

There must be a typo somewhere that's being plagiarized by default.
