Hey.. I'm on my BB and can't use the search function.. What's out there for SS brake lines for our bikes? Looking for quality and not too expensive.
Thanks,
Yev
I ordered from these guys last year see link http://stores.shop.ebay.ca/linespro__W0QQ_armrsZ1 (http://stores.shop.ebay.ca/linespro__W0QQ_armrsZ1). They are very good, and cheap. You basically need to tell them what length the connection type, angle (between the 2 ends), then they custom make for you. The ones I order has the front line a bit long, but it's my faults, it still fit, bit not nice and straight as I like.
HEL Lines, 50 bucks for front with shipping (that's what I paid). Very nice lines and you get to choose color of line and also color of banjo bolts!!
EDIT:
here is the link to front line for 04-08

the price is $43 now, so they probably charge some shipping, it's a good price anyways.
I've used Spiegler on my last couple projects. I'm pretty happy with them. They will make custom ones too. I had one made when I swapped to clipons and got tired of an extra 4 inches of brake line looped around my bars. I think it was around $55. You just tell them the length, color, and what angle banjos you want and 2 days later it shows up in the mail.
galfer had a stand at the international bike show in nyc. 1/2 price! i paid 35 i think with my choice of color. big difference too, especially if you get a better master cylinder
Ive got goodridge, they fit perfectly and were only $90 for front and rear together and had free shipping. I found them on ebay, and they do let you pick any color.
one thing, almost all brands ive heard of include the wrong banjo bolts. the goodridge lines had 2 correct bolts and two with the wrong threads. So just reuse the stock bolts to be safe.
Thanks guys for the input. Are the HEL ones only international?
Spiegler is what I used. Very happy with it. Only did front as rear are already too touchy.
HEL ships/sells in the US. I just did front and rear from them. Make sure you try and ask for at least 2 of the finer pitch banjo bolts though (M10x1.25 I think). They send out 4 of the course threaded ones in the kit, and the fittings were thin enough that that the OEM bolts were too long. I emailed them and they hooked me up with the two bolts I needed, so they're ok in my book.
Now riddle me this, why the heck did Suzuki decide to use 2 different pitches on the banjo bolts?!
Hey, i use engine and brakes to slow, save ya money anyway ya can :thumb:
I think I am going to order from HEL.. ~$50 shipped to my door isn't bad at all!
