This time, we decided to stay in Emporium instead of Renovo.

we tore down 120 to Renovo and spent Saturtay burning up 144 north and south from Renovo. But DAMN! it was cold. only about 45. So I had my tights, jeans, polar fleece pants and wind pants on, with balaclaza, skigloves and 3 shirts under mi lined jacket!!

Then we went back to Emporium and had a fabulous dinner at the Pizza Palace. We also bough 4 cases of yeungling beer to smuggle back home :mrgreen: .

On Sunday, we woke up, tore down 120 and burned up 144 again. This time we took some amazing pics of us tearing through the twisties. I'll try to post them ASAP. Then we drove home.

I really hope that you folks in the PA area appreciate what an amazing road 144 actually is.

144 you say? Ahhh yes, yuengling is the nectar of choice for many pa brethren..aka drunks.. good stuff :thumb:

Where are you in relation to like, say, philadelphia? harrisburg? etc....

Renovo is about 30 miles north west of Williamsport. Emporium is about 50 miles north/west of Renovo on 120.

120 is not too bad either, fast with nice scenery.

There is also another road: 4001 side road, but we've never found it, cause it's not on any map.

It looks like if you've ever been to Kettle Creek State Park, you've taken 4001.

Hard to believe there are 4000 other side roads in PA besides this #4001.
