Hi all,
I noticed that the windscreen on my bike is not installed very well.
2/3 rubber inserts/bolts inserts that hold the windscreen to the fairing are not wide enough. Anyway, I taped the inserts outside and inserted them back, so they sit firm. Now I noticed that after going above 4000rpm, the windscreen starts to vibrate and makes nasty sound :(.
Any suggestions on what to do to fix the rumble? Is there any rubber liner I can use between the windscreen and the fairing?
it wont act up if it has the original fasteners in place.

Mine are all original from Suzuki.
Are you sure they are in the correct way? The rubber inserts are supposed to squish out and fill the holes. Also, do you have the plastic screws metal ones don't do quite right.

Yup, plastic screws into the rubber inserts. I will have to figure something out, maybe put some rubber liner between the front fender and the windscreen. :dunno_black:
My fender to windscreen gap is mostly taken up with the fairing. Plus about six inches of air.
I know what you mean though. If you need to add anything, then something is wrong with the fairing, the screen or the fasteners.
If weatherstripping helps, cool. For a thin bead of rubbery stuff, try screen door beading from homedepot. it comes in 2-3 thicknessses.
can you take some pics to let us see?

Best solution to a vibrating windscreen would be to remove the windscreen and just go naked. :D
The tape may be keeping the rubber from expanding properly. Just throwing this out there, but maybe try pieces of a fat rubber band or something like that.
