Title: Taillight???????????
Post by: McLovin on April 14, 2010, 04:22:16 PM
I am about to put a monster seat on my 99e and I was wanting to get rid of my turn signals and clean up the back of the bike.  I have seen the rear brake lights that are led and also contain blinkers.  I like the looks of the ducati monster one and think it would look good with the seat.  My question is... Would there be any reason it wouldn't work?  I know that they come prewired for a monster but surely I could modify the harness to fit my gs.  Sorry if this seams like a no brainer, but I have no idea about electrical.  This is the link to the light I am referring to.

Any feedback would be great.  Thanks.

it should just have a positive and negative wire for each blinker and 2 positive wires with 1 negative for the tail light, just cut and splice the correct wires.

and just a side note, if you go with LEDs that's cool enough, but you don't have to get an LED tail light to have the built in turn signals. I've seen a ton of tail lights with built in turn signals when they only had 2 normal bulbs in them. The only requirement is that actaully have at least 2 bulbs mounted horizontally for left and right.
