Hi there,
Alot of the Gs's I see always seem to have the RHS logo missing from the engine. How come this happens? I know people drop their bike, but I rarley see the left hand side one missing.
Also How do you replace the logo disk? Do you simply glue a new logo disk on or is their more too it? Since there are no screw holes...

It's more common for a bike to tip to the right than the left because of the sidestand, like what happened to me yesterday. New contact emblems can be had at bikebandit.com for $12.50 each. Look under OEM parts, put in your make, year, and model, then click on the crankcase diagram and you'll find it. (part #13 on the list) Since they charge $7.95 for shipping it makes sense to order something else along with it.
Ah I see, thanks for the tip!
Does the contact emblem come with pre applied glue of sorts? On my engine i'm missing it and haven't worked out how to attach it (not bought onejust yet)

Yeah, It is 3M adhesive backing pre-applied.

Thank you Mary,
Just what I was looking for!
I need the same thing but on the left side which is 18 on the diagram. It seems you can't buy 18 though? Could I just use the right side one? Thanks guys.
http://www.cheapcycleparts.com/model_years/3901-suzuki-1999-GS500E/assemblies/124846 one of the other members introduced me to that site. Choose your correct year though because I don't know if the covers change as my 99 500e has black ones. OEM parts are slightly cheaper on this website compared to bikebandit. Bikebandit's has better prices on accessories such as apparel, saddle/tank bags, helmets.
