not sure yet tbh. i get it to fire up, but no video signal. going to tear it apart, and examine each and every piece, id say somethign got  jostled in shipping, they dont take too kindly to that. when i had sold my gaming computer in march :(( last things i did was start my disability app. and also send the tracking info to its owner in NORCAL. then pulle dmy old HDD out of it, ( the 250 gb he kep the 1tb drive. ) ANYHOO , i dont know whats at fault yet on this thing, i recently foudn moms :( old compaq lappy, uit had fallen into disrepair a few years back so ill see if teh MOBO is at fault. ( hteyre identical), BUT Trumpetguy, TY, its the thought that counts, it was working when it left your home, i WILL get it working again, id say just somethign minor. because teh box was not damaged at all, and it was packed well. so id say some jostling got it

The video connection may be loose from shipping, Yama.  All those connectors are ribbons which slip into the motherboard, then a clamp slides down to lock it.  Removal is the reverse -- slide up clamp with small screwdriver, reposition connector ribbon, then push clamp back down. As you look at the laptop screen, it is near the left hinge.

I haven't had one of those open in a year or two.  I do have lots of parts, though.  Let me know if you want to try something.
