One of the firearm sites I frequent does this and I thought I'd give it a try here. It's simple, if you have something GS related you don't need anymore and really don't need the coin for it, give it to someone and hopefully they will do in kind some day. Shipping should be the responsibility of the receiver but heck if it's a small part or you can afford it throw that in too I'll start, I have a brand new stock (16T) front sprocket for a older model (no lip on the inside, flat on both side) I think it's for pre 02 that was sent in error instead of the F model (lipped kind) that I needed. I don't have the patience to send it back (I have a 600 mile next weekend with one of my sons through north central FL to central GA so I don't want to wait for the whole process to do the return, shipping to Chaperrell and all that. I just bought another one and since I'm eating it they are throwing in 2 day shipping for nada. I'd rather give it to someone on here who needs it. I'll even throw in USPS shipping in the USA. Let's see how this goes, maybe we can get a sticky on it.
sounds like a good idea. i wish you had parts i needed. ha. i need alot of stuff but money isnt there ya know.
I like the idea and even though i don't have any parts that i need right now I have a stock air filter with maybe 300 miles on it before i changed to a lunchbox filter, a set of flushmount blinkers, and an '04 stock taillight lens that i would be willing to ship to someone who would use them just to get them out of my garage. If anyone needs any of these parts for their bike let me know and i will ship them out. (USA only please, don't want to deal with international shipping.)
Edit: Also found a set of stock rear blinkers. No idea if they work or not as the PO gave them to me already off of the bike.
Yup Bassm. that's how this will work. Folks just passing stuff along to other folks. The sprocket I have according to the dealership is for a 89-93 GS500.
Flush mounts going out this week.
ive just offered a guy my old centre stand...shoulda asked what nation he lives in first i reckon :o
Aww heck I got some front stock pegs. Woulda loved those flush mounts Lol!

When you ship international (i.e. Canada), all you have to do is fill out a small green sticker (what you are shipping and its value). Must be difficult for some people, I guess.
i dont mind shipping intl mate. as long as the costs covered its all good

If you have ever shipped international in business it is a PITA probably less intense for personal shipments.
Flushmounts getting dropped off at the post office tomorrow.
I have some other parts that i need to sort out next week that will get posted here.
Air Filter getting shipped out beginning next week.
Will post an update with remaining parts next week once i go through what i have.
I know most people get rid of these, but I have front springs and rear coil over that have been sitting in my shop for a year. They have less than 2000 miles on them so in good shape. If someone needs them let me know.
Thanks bassmechanicsz for the turn signals. I now have a good right stock turn signal to pass on. I know its not much but its what i got for now to give. Hope to have more stuff to help out with.
The air filter has been shipped out today.
To add to my list of random parts that i have i found a set of stock rear blinkers if anyone needs them. I believe they are the same for all years but just in case they came off an '04.
Bump for a good thread that got lost in the FS section
