Title: Anyone interested in riding in Rolling Thunder this year?
Post by: Porkchop on April 16, 2010, 09:54:55 AM
It turns out that I'll be around for Memorial Day this year.  I've always wanted to participate in Rolling Thunder.  I figured a large group of GS500s will stand out in the sea of Harleys.

If enough GStwinners in the DC/MD/VA area offered a couch or spare bed to those from other states, we could have a pretty large contingent.

What are your thoughts?  Feedback please.

That could be cool. I might be down for it, but Memorial Day is beyond my planning horizon.

I don't know that I could provide a crash zone though.

Great, I'll put you down for a definite maybe.  No worries about the visitors couch.  I have room at my place.

If anyone is interested, I can take in a few people for the weekend.  It would be a decent home base for a visit to the nation's capital.

Short of spamming the main discussion, there's gots to be a better way to get people to see this though. I hardly ever look in the meet and greet.

You're right.  I put a post in the Odds and Ends section to let folks know are this effort.
