Title: Who here has clipons on their GS
Post by: tt_four on April 19, 2010, 06:31:17 PM
For any of you guys who have clipons on your GS, how long are the actual bars?

I have some clipons that I used to have on my bike, but they're only 192mm long. I measured the controls and it looks like they should be a minimum of 200mm long for everything to fit on right. They work since the left side controls are a little slimmer, and the right side can hang off because of the throttle tube, but I'd like them to be even and easier to mount some bar ends. Curious what you guys thought was a good width/length for clipons on the GS. When I put them back on in a couple weeks they'll be going under the top clamp. Eventually when I set the bike back up for Heather to ride probably next year I'm probably going to lower the bike 2 inches and them put them on top of the triple clamp, if that changes your opinion to the length.
