I put a post in the Meet and Greet section but was told most people don't check that section on a regular basis. So I'm posting here as well.
I was trying to get a group to participate in Rolling Thunder this year. I figured a large number of GS500s would not be swallowed up in the sea of Harleys. My thought was that if any members from DC/MD/VA had a spare couch or room, members from outside the area would find it more affordable to participate.
If there was enough interest, I'll start organizing.

Hey Guys,
Rolling Thunder 2010 was great. The weekend started off with a cook-out at Fort Washington HD on Saturday. I rode down on my GS500 and they let me park right in front of the dealer.

I picked up something for the wife to wear.

We got to the Pentagon around 10 am. It took us an hour and a half, even with police escorts. The north lot was full so we were directed to the south lot. There was a sea of motorcycles. Once you are in, you can get out. The parade began at noon but it wasn't until 2:30 before we launched. Fortunately the shopping mall was walking distance and there were a lot of people to visit and talk bikes with.

If I'm around next year, I'll do it again.

Wowee that puts a whole new meaning to the word PORK I'm sure.
Cool.
Buddha.
Cool...I wanted to go, but didn't feel I had enough time in the saddle to make the trip. a knew acquaintance with a yellow GS was down there, so there was at least two! I'll be there next year. :thumb:
Wow looks like it was fun. I'm sorry I had to miss it.
Can you still hear? I mean that many HD's for that long...

You should make plans to join next year.
ATGATT includes hearing protection. For some reason a lot of the HD guys liked to rev their engines when we were going through underpasses. I like a good exhaust note but I've never got the allure of really loud pipes.
