Title: HI from new Aussie member..
Post by: luohanfan on April 24, 2010, 05:46:10 AM
Hi guys, been reading a lot of the threads on here for a while and thought i better say HI..
Found a lot of stuff interesting..
Does the DIY timing advance work on the 2007 gs? still 5 degrees ?
This is my first road bike.
Bought it new in Oct 2007..
Great little bike, i even look for ways to get around my mates R1 in the twisties,
Handles Great!
Just starting to search for that little bit extra now, would like to get the most out of it as i enjoy it so much already..
Thanks in advance..

Well, I'm From Sydney - but - now live "way up north, north to Alaska, way up north, north to Alaska, north to Alaska, they're goin'n north the rush is on" in Brisbane. You know what They say... you can take the boy out of Sydney but cannot take Sydney out of the boy.

Had friends/relatives in Emu plains, Windsor, Springwood, Blacktown, Quakers Hill and even Orange. So I kinda know the area there. And next time I'm down I'm gonna do this route

So I can go see the Castle on Powers rd. Love to ride down the putty road from Singleton. It's been yonks since I did that road.

So... got a pic of your bike you care to share?

Michael

Hey, how did you like your DR650?  It's one of the bikes I wanted when I bought the GS, but I couldn't find a decent price on a used around me.

When I was younger, me and a friend were riding a dirt bike around on St Pats oval. A cop pulled up on College Rd and waved me over. My friend was on the other side of the oval and was beckoning me to him. I went to the cop and he Asked us to leave. But he didn't like my disregarding attitude towards him and came to see my parents! Never visited my buddy's parents, though. I didn't get in trouble from my dad cause he was the one who said we could ride on the oval! HA!

Yea. Dodging cane toads now. Cane toads and ridiculous qld drivers.

Hi Mate , she was pretty good out on the dirt, I  mainly did  open trails but you where looking at big hills then the DR is a little  big in the weight area.
on the road not so good ( well I guess it dep on your set up  mind was set for long off road tips ). for me I'm a little over it and want to do more road riding & the only bike really like is the GS 500
. it's funny you know my first road was a GS 500 :icon_mrgreen:
