Title: SERIOUSLY DISTURBING
Post by: Blueknyt on October 21, 2003, 12:54:57 AM
Just something to put into your mental substrata of your brainpan.  things like this help keep me grounded on earth, while yes i do play on the cloverleaf ramps, i no longer pass cars while doing it, i try to keep respectable around others on roadways.  if you cant handle Gore, or bloody stuff, skip this. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

:o  Looks like they hit the truck head-on or something.  The one with his head IN the pavement looks like a kid :(

In Holland there are also a lot of "cloverleaf racers". Every year a lot of deadly accidents happen on those cloverleafs because they are taken at insane speeds. Trucks and cars regularly spill Diesel fuel in the corners wich is very very slippery.  Also, the metal guard rails alongside the corners kill lots of motorcyclists. When they hit the rails, bodyparts are cut off by the metal poles on wich the rail is mounted.

Yeah, those things can actually be extremely sharp on the edges! Imagine sliding through a giant slicer...  :o

I'd say "ouch," but something tells me they didn't feel much.  :o

I'd be curious to hear the circumstances behind that mess!

now i dont think the folks on the bike had long to think, or react, not that it would matter now, but, i gotta wonder what the guy driving the truck must have had going though his mind. what a nightmare to replay in your head, over and over.

(lookin at pix)
welp, an asprin wont quite do it i dont think.

Hey Buddy, Need a bandaide?

i think there was a major case of tunnel vision there,  Collision Vision to the extreme. Target fixation to the 10 power.

That is awful. One guys got no head, the others is smashed on the pavement. What an awful scene. The bike is gone! I cant get over the helmet on the truck. I cant even imagine whats still in the helmet if the guy aint got nothing on his body. Poor guys, at least it was quik.

Only thing i can say, is something my father told me when i was 12 and i find it ringing true every day.

"Stupidity is the ONLY Crime against Nature that carries a Death penalty, Quite Often, this is not always Applied to the person commiting the offence, But another innocent life whom happens to be in the Blast radius."

All too often i see examples of this on a daily basis. careful out there, and plz, watchout for the stupid ones, they will get you killed, only to survive to do it again to someone else.[/quote]
