Title: good camera to take riding vids with?
Post by: luohanfan on April 27, 2010, 11:06:17 PM
Can anyone tell me?
And how they are mounted?
as you can see below, camera phones don't work the best..
Id like to show the ride in better quality!

Definitely go with GoPro

I think its the same one this guy wears.

http://hellforleathermagazine.com/2010/04/this-is-why-cops-and-bikers-do.html

you can mount it on a canoe, you can mount it on a car, you can mount it on your snowboard, you can mount it on pretty much anything.

well thats how they market it.

from what i've seen these little guys are pretty awesome, video quality is great, and they mount just about anywhere.

I use the GoPro Motorsports Hero. Use the suction mount to the tank.

All my videos http://www.youtube.com/michaelrossonline shoot in the same quality. The final thing you see on youtube depends on my final rendering and then YT's reduction of that.

I personally use me regular digital cam.  with a mount onto the upper triple.
front shot, camera screen open

front shot, screen closed

I do get a little jittery, but only under full throttle
