so the other day i'm sittin' on my bike chatting with some friends in the parking lot, and one of the girls in the group asks me what my bikes name is :? It got me thinking.... maybe its time I dub my GS with a cool, yet appropriate name... something like.....
Igor... cause it's short, strong, and ugly
Clark (Kent)... cause it's a SuperBike disguised as a little wimp
or maybe even THOR... cause some days I just wanna take a hammer to it :o :x :nono: :P
Has anybody here actually named their bike, or am I the sole resident of geek-land? 8)
My 89 was Gooshie... cos the first GS running by on the road I saw I mis read the 5 of 500 as an S, making it gssooe... Then when it turned Blue (from white) it became Bloosie. My 90 was black. And I had another black bike at that time so it was black-e, then the silver, yello, blue 91 shoed up, and I made my son's first road trip to get it... so its named Santosh-E after him. Now its also sporting black body work... so maybe Black-e... not decided... The Eli is eli... but I have 3 of those... so major -ve spilt personality there... its not 1 bike with 3 personna's but 3 bikes with 1 personna... The KZ, virago, vulcan, nitehawk all dont have names other than model names... cos they were so cheap... they cant afford them... The VW convt is called snowflake... dont ask me... my wifes idea... So I guess names only when they make sense.
Cool.
Srinath.
I always liked Suzi, she's fun to ride :)
Mine is called "PIMP JUICE". It has an effect on the ladies. They enjoy it very much.
mine has been deemed grace. for a couple of personal reasons...but it does start with 'g' :)
yep mines name is Jenna cause i ride it all the time. lol
Susku, short for Susanna.
Mine's named Paul Revere, because as I was driving it home in the truck the day I picked it up, the Beastie Boys song came on the radio....

Here's a little story I got to tell

ok had to throw that one in. actually it was my friends comment.
Purple Haze.
It was named when I was in my AIT training in Ft. Huachuca, AZ, by my classmates. Can u guess what color it is?
Red Riding ...from the hood.
Well so Srinath's bike shares a name with my cat, Gooshie, that adds to my knowledge of utterly useless trivia......The bike is simply suzi blue, other bikes have been the wild blue Honda and the Italian scooter was Azzuri.
Quote from: Cal Price[...]the Italian scooter was Azzuri.
[OFF TOPIC]
Azzuri. Italian adjective meaning "blue" or "azure" (applied to more than one entity).
Isn't that the name of the Rome soccer team? I was in Rome when Italy won the world cup in 1982 - what a madhouse! As I recall, the goalie for Italy was from the Rome team.
Juventus... Just a guess...
Cool.
Srinath.

I wasn't even born yet. You're old! :nana:
Kerry, the Italian National team are known as the Azzuri, two sides in Rome share the Olympic stadium and hate each other Roma and Lazio who play in pale blue also aspire to the name. I was in London when England won the world cup! but it was 1966 so nobody remembers anything!
Srinath, Juve play in black'n'white stripes mate, or Bianca & Nero, sounds like a married couple!
right now i call mine ratsass, but in spanish, just not sure how its spelled, Cullo de raton?
mine is g-sucker for
g's sucker as in money cuz im always fixing or upgrading the thing. :?
girl sucker cuz if you, a guy, can't sucker a girl behind you than you gots issues :thumb: 8)

I was a few weeks away from turning 20 at the time. It was my first week in Italy - quite an introduction.
No, I don't remember anything about Cal Price's 1966 World Cup, but I was at least on the planet at the time. (3 years old)
NOW who's feelin' old? (Good luck with the "doctor's visit", Cal!)
I've been considering this even before i got my bike. It has to have a female name (shouldn't all bikes?), and i'd like it to be Japanese (cuz i'm lifelong otaku)...then i saw Kill Bill.
Sorted. I christen thee: O-Ren Ishii!
