What size screw is screw number 7? I'd much rather get it at the hardware store if i can instead of ordering the part online or from the shop.

i don't remember but honestly it doesn't have to be a specific size it's screwing into a piece of rubber so it can accommodate many different size screws

It screws into the plastic on the fairing not the rubber. The rubber is just to absorb vibrations. I just don't want to get the wrong size and screw things up (like crack the fairing or something dumb like that).

Spent some time in the hardware aisle and found a good fit. If anyone ever wants to know screw number 7 in the diagram is a 10x3/4 screw. The ones I got are auto trim screws, they are an exact match to the oem ones. I got them at Lowes
