I have a few things I need to get fixed right and I'm on the road.
first..

I need part #14, the little rubber boot that fits over the vac cap on my carb. Are these generic and can I get it from a local dealer?
I also need info about part # 9 in this schematic

I dont have one... are they really necessary and would a deal also have that on hand? I want to go out riding this weekend! I appreciate all the help and love from the gstwin forums, you really are a great group of people.
but I will never convert my bike to 2%, so deal with it :D
the first (#14) part is just a cap so if you can find any rubber cap that will fit it, than youre set.
the breather gasket, i would imagine youw ould need to order that from bandit or the dealership. i'd call then and ask if they have it, or when they can get it and for what price.
would it be detrimental to run it without one?, just use alittle tacky rtv to put the breather cover on with the metal filter element and go?
the gasket, by my knowledge (not a pro) covers a larger open area than the few holes it allows things to pass up through. if you didnt want to purchase a new gasket, i'd say go buy some gasket material and cut a replica of the needed gasket to throw in. from what it looks like, by allowing the whole area to be open and not covered by that gasket you'll probably lose more oil out the breather
and this is a longshot but that metal mesh "filter" could drop more debris over the valves and into the motor if it wasnt sitting on that sheet.
considering the gasket on bandit is under 3 bucks, i wouldnt imagine the dealer price being more than maybe 4 or 5 dollrs. which is still cheaper than ordering on bandit and paying for shipping. i dont mind waiting a few days for cheaper prices.
