Title: Question about engine/speedometer
Post by: jonathanneely on May 22, 2010, 09:55:46 AM
As most of you know  >:( I blew my engine (yes I have not broke into it yet - a little scared to - I know nothing about engines and if I opened it up, I'd look at it and say to myself "now what?").

Is the speedometer connected to the engine somehow? One thing I noticed when it started knocking is the speedo completely stopped working. What's that all about?

Speedo is driven off the front wheel, tachometer is driven by the motor

The problems with your speedo and engine are totaly unrelated. I cannot imagine any scenario whereby one might influence the  other...............but I am open to suggestions  :thumb:
