hey guys i have a 06 gs500f and my speedo is off anyone have any ideas on how to fix it or any suggestions on it thanks.

Speedos....sealed items generaly not repairable although there are specialists who might take it on. probably cost far more than a secondhand one via ebay or a breakers though.

Are you sure its the speedo and not the cable or its drive?

no im not sure at all ive just recently noticed that im like 5 or so miles slower then what its reading

So it'll read say 75, but you're really doing 70?

Don't sweat it. They're known for this.

Curious though, how you know it's off. Are you using a GPS, someone following you, ...?

had someone following me and told me i was going slow and found out it was around five off. so they are known for this?

Yes, most motorcycle speedos are off by 5%-10%

A larger diameter front tire will slow down the speedo drive to match the actual  road speed.
