Title: 145 mains? (anyone need 140's or 40 pilots?)
Post by: jiggersplat on October 22, 2003, 09:05:14 PM
i just hit bike bandit to look for some main jets.  they have 140, 142.5, 147.5  and 150, but no 145s.  do they not exist or did bike bandit just screw up?

on a side note, i've got two extra 140's if anyone would like to trade me for anything a little larger (142.5 - 150).  i'm trying to jet for a k&n pod and stock exhaust and have seem some conflicting info flying around so i guess i am gonn have to try a few different sizes.  i've also got two extra 40 pilots if anyone wants those.

I have a pair of 145's and 147.5's that I'll sell.  I had the same set up as you and felt the 147.5's worked best, but yeah, I've heard most people run smaller mains w/ just the K&N pod.  Anyway, I've got a slip-on now, so I'm using 150's and don't need the others.  Let me know if you want them.

1/2 the fun is experimenting isn't it... till you get to 150's the bike runs better and better... go to 152.5 and you lose ... a lot... like you fell off a cliff ... With a Jet Kit you can get by with a smaller mains... with stock needle you have to use 150's with K&N pods. Also 37.5 bleeds seem to work just like 40 non bleeds on the pilot side.
Cool.
Srinath.

They do have 145's but the online ordering is screwed up. I used their online live help to order 145's.
