Title: gstwin shirt re-design------>more designs
Post by: smaeda on May 25, 2010, 07:45:25 PM
First off I want to say this is a great site.  I'm somewhat of a noob so I don't know if I'm out of line here, but I feel like this site needs more wear-ables to advertise and support the site.  I'm not saying the current shirt is bad but it could use a re-fresh.  I'm not trying to self- advertise here but I'm a graphic designer and I do shirt design as well. I'm definitely not trying to make any money here.  I will not be charging for my servises.  I just want to give back to the community.

This is my previous work portfolio.  Please let me know if this is something you guys might want.  Also if there is an admin I should be talking to please let me know as well.  If this is a stupid idea and if I should remove the thread let me know too.

And a keyring... ok, the key ring is GS500. But still.

Now if only I could find a diecast (or similar) of the GS500.

Take the bikes off (especially the wheelie one) and slap it on a hoodie.  I'll buy it, Smeg.

Wish we had a sexier design.  Mechanical parts or a sexy, sexy wombat.

Hi there,
I really like this shirt design.
I'd order one. :)
I've never ordered the original T-shirts because I thought they were understated.
Also, I'd like a BLACK shirt with a cool design like this one.
The original shirts weren't available in black.
So I say, let's try something new like this design!
Best wishes,
Trwhouse  :)
Have a happy and safe holiday weekend everyone.

I really like and prefer the first design.

Unless you have have permission from suzuki, you might want to ditch the suzuki logo if you plan to sell these. They may be a bit precious about others making money off it.

Both look pretty good though. Love the simplicity.

Although I wouldn't be making money off this I think your right about the suzuki logo.  Back to the drawing board......may have to go with wombats after all.......

Had a great idea all of a sudden. I took the cue from the stripe on the tank and threw it on instead of the suzuki "s".  I think we may have a winner.

Hi again,
I like it either way, with the Suzuki S or with the stripe from the fuel tank.
Either one, on a black T-shirt, and I'll buy one, maybe even two!
I vote to go for it!
Thanks,
Trwhouse

:police: I'm from Suzuki.  Please stop promoting our products!

The stripey design on a dark grey hoodie, please.  Lemme know when you're taking "donations".

What about the suzuki logo made with four fingers? Would that be legal? Some member on this board had that as his/her avatar. I always thought it was quite creative. Do you guys know what I'm talking about? If not, I will search the board try to find that picture.

Not sure how easily that would translate into a t-shirt design, but I think it has a potential of being quite cool.

I don't know how that would look on a shirt, but I know exactly what your talking about.

You should make a shirt with a broken down GS.  That would be perfect for me.

I like the stripe design (#2) and the last one with the exploded diagram. I might suggest moving the diagram up on the shirt a little...I tend to tuck in my shirts and the bottom would be shadowed by my gut :D

I wish the stripe design is possible but after looking into the online printing companies they already have a pre-set printing area which doesn't allow you to print on the lower 30 percent of the shirt.  Which means the stripe will get cut-off in the middle of the shirt which kinda looks crappy. So I decided not to use that design.  The exploded diagram design actually is placed a lot higher on the shirt.  I cropped the image so thats why it looks like the design hangs low but it actually isn't.

The expanded diagram is cool. But, I luv having one with a "F" model on it.

I like virtually everything I've seen here.  Nice job, folks!  Now let me buy some before Suzuki gets wind of this and makes us pay a $10 royalty for each garment, making it no longer cost-effective.

WTF?! Right when I said I will stop buying T-shirt and you do this to me?!
The exploded diagram one in black is the fun bags!!

Question:
Can you combine them to make one awesome hoody?

Here is my idea:
The exploded diagram on the back of a hoody and the other design on the front of the hoody...
If you can do that somehow I would definitely purchase that in a heart beat (black perferably)!

combining the two design is no problem but printfection only offers white and light grey hoodies.....lame i know.
