Title: '93 for Sale in NC
Post by: Homer on May 26, 2010, 02:25:14 PM
Not sure if I want to part this thing, or sell it as is.
Make me an offer.
Medical bills to pay off.
I'm in Burlington, NC.

Some of the upgrades:
-Motech Case guards
-Veypor digital gauge
-headlight modulator
-Katana front end, with clip ons and dual brakes
-Yoshimura full exhaust system
-K&N lunchbox filter
-clean and jetted carbs
-new carb boots
-GSXR front brake MC
-braided front lines
-new pads all around
-powdercoated frame and wheels, clear title in my name
-new tires
-new chain
-various new sprockets
-all new bearings and seals
-bar end mirrors
-painted tank, with StompGrip pads
-re-covered seat
-chopped subframe with relocated license plate
-LED tail light and turn signals
etc.

I just had the motor replaced last week.  Blew the old one.  I'm not sure of the mileage on it.

I also have a red R6 shock, 2 jackets (one leather, one mesh, size small), and a pair of blue summer gloves.

What's your asking price? Do you still have the rear fender?

I had an undertray fabbed at the shop.  Steel mesh plate lined with rubber sheeting to block gunk, and it works very well.
Less plastic to break, looks more "naked", and you can switch to a Ducati seat.
You can raise or lower the seat itself with washers, depending on your particular style.

Asking price -
Bought it for $1300.  Anything over that, I'll be happy.

Put MUCH more into it, but I've got medical bills to pay.

Not the best picture.  My flash sucks.

The little flecks all over the frame isn't dirt.

It's metal flake powdercoat.  Black basecoat with a gloss clear topcoat.  Cost me a pretty penny.
It was sandblasted and chemical dipped prior.
Wheels and swingarm are matching.

Clear topcoat doesn't show scratches like gloss black topcoat.  You can scrape the pee out of it, and you'll barely see it.
Won't wash off with gas and solvents.

I've got a red R6 shock that'll brighten up the rear, as well.  I just haven't put it on, yet.
Better handling, too.

I think I saw this bike up at Ken's last weekend. Pretty sweet. Would have love to have heard that exhaust.
