Title: Anyone have a Powerbronze brand chin fairing? I have a Q....
Post by: Trwhouse on May 28, 2010, 07:43:29 PM
Hi everyone,

Last year I bought a used OEM Suzuki GS500 chin fairing from another member, but he didn't have any of the four square mounting brackets or other hardware for it.

I recently wrote to the folks who make the Powerbronze GS500E chin fairing (British blokes) and asked if they sell their mounting kit separately.

Today I received a reply -- yes they sell the mounting bracket kit separately, for $59 shipped to me.

My Q --  are any of you running a Powerbronze GS500E chin fairing and what do the brackets look like?  Are they similar to the square OEM brackets that Suzuki charges $40 each for?

Any info would be appreciated.

I'm thinking about ordering one of the bracket kits.

Thanks,

Trwhouse

Wow... I think I'd get some stainless plumbers strap ( perforated..) and bend up a set myself. Wouldn't even need to be stainless...Could just paint it but I'd do stainless......some bolts , spacers and some thin rubber to protect the frame paint and "Bob's your uncle"..

Hmmmm I might have some in my garage...if I wander out there later I'll take a look (I'm pretty sure I have some...if it's stainless or not I dunno..).

I'm curious how the powerbronze brackets mount up too.... $15 each versus $40 is a lot easier to deal with.
