Title: wtb RH switch assembly
Post by: brentphx on June 01, 2010, 12:02:51 PM
You know, the one with the kill switch, starter button... Pretty sure it's bikebandit part # 495471-001.

The p.o. was not very nice to this bike, I got sick of the handlebars being tweaked so I picked up a set of clubman bars.  Install went GREAT until it came time to put the right hand switch on the bars.  I decided to shave that mounting tabs off but failed to notice BEFORE I did this that the bottom side of the clamshell was basically cracked in two.  I can't believe the right grip hadn't fallen off the old bars, apparently the mounting tab was the only thing keepin it on!  So, now that I've shaved the pin off, they wont stay on the new bar and I am NOT gonna ride this without a way to ensure the grip stays ON the bar and I'd really prefer a new (new to me anyway) switch assembly.

So, anyone parting out? wanna get rid of this assembly?

Just superglue the bottom peice of the controls back together, and put a piece of duct tape on it as a safety. You'll be in business, temporarily.
