Title: wiring harness interchange?
Post by: travisn on June 03, 2010, 07:26:15 PM
I searched a bunch and couldnt get a firm answer. I have a 2000 gs500e and got a harness and regulator from a 2008 gs500f. I am going to swap out the regulator first (it should plug in and work correctly right?!?!!?) then change the harness if it still acts up.

I probably should have asked before I bought it, but its too late now...

Thanks

not sure..

but i think most of the wiring will be usable but there will be extra lines that you dont need. the f models used electronic gauges so there will be plugs/lines for those to hook up.  as long as you match with your original harness and use the correct corresponding lines, i dont think it'll be too big an issue. you'll just have extra lines/plugs about.
