So which one of you stock piler's have one layin around?
The tank kream has all been under-rusted and has flaked off... everything keeps getting clogged.
strip out the kreame and use POR-15 or KBS system!!
How can I strip out the creme? I'm thinking about cutting a big hole in the bottom of the tank, ripping out what I can and then sandblasting it, then welding it shut again. since I cant find the older style tanks with sharp creases in them, only the new style.
they make stripping solutions to remove old liners, look at this, you may want to call and talk to customer service before ordering!! this is the kit i got but it adds in the stripper to remove the liner in there

I got a beautiful shiny black powdercoat outside with a POR15 coat inside and a positive vent installed in the top. Has a small pipe welded on the top. will not clog and you can fill it like a car till it overflows.
Will be 250 and ship.

LoL. Buddha, that sounds great but I'm not gonna pay more than i did for the whole bike for just a tank. lol. Thanks though.
As for the link... thats just plain paint stripper it would seem. But I'll give that a shot.
I've got a tank off of my 07. silver.... but it has a couple of small dents in it... no hole or breaking though.

That is a clean case of circular logic. You could have bought a bike with a seized motor and rusty tank and gummed carbs and other miscellani busted/broken for free.
Then turnaround say, I aint putting a 5 buck light bulb in a bike I got free. No I am serious, I have heard people say that. I aint buying a 39.99 manual for $5 bike is exactly what I heard. So you buying the bike for $5 resets the whole economy where they have to now sell you everything you need for under $5.
The reason you got the bike that cheap is because of sheite that is busted ... Its somewhat like this ... a 100 buck seat rip + recover job, will cost you 200 bucks @ the time of sale. The deeper in the bike the problem is, the more it will cost @ the time of sale. So you got that bike cheap cos the tank was DOA. The fact tha tthe previous owner didn't fix it simply advertised loud and clear that he didn't care. That tips his hand to you and you naturally worked on it.

MEK from lowes to clean out the Kreem liner and then get a new Kreem kit from a local dealer or online. Not hard just time consuming.
LoL Buddha... way to over analyze the pure underlyings of my statement.
Just not looking into dumping that kinda cash into something when I have other things to do first.
On a side note... I tipped some gas on the tank and it stripped the original purple paint clean off.
