I have looked at the wiki and decided that I think the Bridgestone Battlax BT45 is the tire that fits my needs the best. This is the tire that I want to order right?

I also need to replace the rear brake pads. Using the wiki I decided on the EBC Kevlar Brake Pads. These are the correct pads right?

Also are brake pads easy to install?
Would it be cheaper if I took my wheel off the bike and just took the wheel to the shop to have the new tire installed?
break pads are pretty easy to install . . . I did myself and this is my first bike too but I hate ordering tires online good thing when I bought mine at our dealership, they had a tire sale :D
if i just want to replace my brake pads, do i necessarily have to replace the brake fluid as well? (considering the brake fluid is about 4 months old)
No you don't.
Also, that is the correct size of tire. You might want to make sure on the pads, they look identical to the gs500 but for whatever reason it isnt listed in teh applications. Maybe someone else can confirm, but i'd say they'd work.
I like motorcyclesuperstore.com
I would look into the Pirelli Sport Demon tires.... Heard better things then the stock ones. I just got them so i cant say anything yet....
I got the Sport Demons. I didnt ride on the stock ones for to long as my bike had failed inspection because of them but there was a noticable difference with the sport demons. Much quicker turn in and a bit more confident.

Make sure you check with your dealer/bike shop first and make sure they will put on a tire you bring in. I checked 4-5 places and didn't find one that would put on a tire I brought in. Several guys in our club ended up just ordering a tire machine and now we mount all our tires ourselves.
I've always ordered mine online. The last set I ordered from jakewilson.com(I think that's what it was, definitely J something wilson). The shop by my parents house would mount any tires for $20 when I was younger but a lot of them won't do it unless you bought them t here. Shops charge so much more for tires and they know most people aren't willing to install them themselves so there's not much they can do.
Most places offer free shipping on tires and will have them to you in a couple days so it's not a bad deal if you find a shop that will mount them.
I'd like to get a real tire changing setup someday but right now I'm just working with some tire levers and 2x4s and it's not too bad.
