Title: Turn signal relay
Post by: shchuka on June 14, 2010, 06:01:48 AM
Ok, so the turn signal relay has gone pear-shape on my gs500e - actually, on my way to work today.  Most likely, it's due to faulty voltage regulatro/rectifer (ordered, waiting to be shipped).  In any event, I disconnected the old broken one (it's a 2-pin variety) and now I realise I don't know which wire goes to which connector on the new flasher :)  If I read the wiring digram correctly, the light blue one goes to L connector and the orange one goes to Y connector - is this correct?  What happens if I plug it the wrong way around?

Probably nothing.  At any rate, you have a 50/50 chance of getting it right.  Worst case is it fries and you buy a new one for $4.  But it shouldn't do anything spectacular.
