Title: 2004 GS500F - $2500 Tulsa,OK
Post by: OilSooner on June 16, 2010, 12:42:57 PM
The bike is a GS500F with 51XX miles. I ride it daily, thus the miles are going up slightly. Service performed in the last month or two:

New Battery
New Sparkplugs
Valve Clearance Checked
Carbs Cleaned
In Line Fuel Filter Installed
Gas Tank Cleaned
New Fuel Lines
New Throttle Position Sensor
New Oil/Filter
All Cables Lubed
O Ring Chain Cleaned
Air Filter Cleaned
Brake Fluid Changed (DOT 4)

The Bad:
1. Has a few scrapes on the upper right fairing where it looks like it was leaned against the wall.

Bike starts on first push of button everytime, and is a great starter bike or commuter. I am selling to get a 600cc bike. Thus, my price is firm so I can make that deal work out. Feel free to reply here or PM any questions you may have.

I'm not interested - obviously, I live in Aust - but am curious. Curious about your Firm price. Not just yours but anyone who says the price is Firm.

So I wonder, if I rocked up on your door with $2480 cash, you'd knock me back. Lose a sale cause you're firm on your $2500 price?

I can understand firm prices when the seller is even or only slightly upside down on finance. but I still wonder just how firm Firm is?

Well, I've had this for sale for a few weeks locally, and I have several people calling me offering $1000 or $1500 or just prices that are no where near what it's worth.  Also, I get offers of payment plans, trades for stuff I dont need etc.  So, I am trying to relay that I am pretty set on what I want, within reason.  If someone were to show up with $2480, of course I would take it.  I'm just trying to ward off people who are trying to get something for nothing.

Thanks for the feedback though.  Maybe I worded it wrong, or will just need to take it out and weed out the tire kickers until I find someone that is truely interested in it.
