I'm in the same boat. I have to catch a bus downtown tomorrow morning so i can be picked up by a friend at 6:40. Got a 3.5 hour drive and he's dropping me off at the dealership and going on his way. I was ridiculously tired last night though, so I had no problems falling asleep. I'll see how tonight goes since I'm going to have to go to bed at about 8pm.

How'd the first day go?

it's 4am and I've been up for a half hour. I feel awful. I have no idea how my wife wakes up for work at 2am every morning. Oh well, hopefully in 7 hours I'll have forgotten about the giant hassle it took to go get this bike and will be on my back home.

Well all went well today I put about 100 KM on it no problems.  I ended up having to go to work for a couple of hours today so that put a hole in the day.  I got a good mate to ride the bike home for me and when we pulled in for fuel he thought it was funny to say that the bike had a sever Vibration (SOB).  Then he couldn't get it started at the servo you have to have the clutch in and the bike in neutral.  A little bit of overkill there I think!

So we got her home and it was my turn.  I attached my L plate and we where off my mate rides an 98 R1 which he taught me to ride on.  And i can say that from being able to compare a killer like the R1 and the GS I am glad that I have the GS now .  It is much more forgiving and wont rip your head off if you make a mistake.  The ride was uneventful until we got home and realize that I had lo0st one bolt from the front brake and the second was very loose.  There will be an interesting phone call to the guy that did the road worthy on this bike.

The other bit of fun is my driveway its about 50 meters long steep uneven and covered in gravel. Note to all out there the GS is not a dirt bike I almost put it down no the way up.  Going down is no pick nick either its a delicate balance of front and rear brake to keep her up not to mention your left foot ready to catch it when it slips.  Its crazy I have to spend 15k on a new driveway to protect a 5 k bike.  But worth it  :icon_mrgreen:

Once I have had a good sleep and get a set of bolts for the front brake i will be back on the bike. Any body know the part numbers for these for an 07 F .

I love riding this bike and look forward to putting a lot more K's on Her
