Title: Earthquake felt in Detroit, MI
Post by: plewis51 on June 23, 2010, 12:16:24 PM
Just felt a little movement, thought I was dizzy or something. Found out a 5.5 hit Ontario. Lots of Michigan residents felt it. Crazy.

News here in Columbus said people could feel it here.  I didn't notice anything?

Did  you know Earth Quakes are caused by scantily clad women?  That is why California has so many!

That's old news.  Ask the Southern Baptists.

This is pretty cool, though:

I'm not sure whether the walkout or the fact that he was speaking at an anti-racism conference is funnier.

He's a tough cookie to crack.  It's hard to get a read as to whether he believes half the BS he spews or just spews it so as to stay in good graces.  To his credit, he does remain fairly calm and collected through the adverse actions that occur every time he speaks publicly outside of Iran.
Two side notes:  He speaks English almost fluently.  Much of his attire is Armani.  Just saying....

Ohh yeah, earthquakes, so is Canadialand gonna fall into the ocean yet?  Can we get a package deal where Canada and California fall into the ocean?

Felt it here on second story of building. People in first story didn't feel it.

Quite mild (250 Mi from epicenter).

well in second grade science. if you take say a plastic ziptie. hold oneend to thetable/hard surface. and hold it there. BUT jiggle it. the top will wave slightly, id say feeling would have been more intense had you say been 4 or 5 stories higher
