Title: Bike finally at proper height
Post by: elader on June 30, 2010, 05:32:25 AM
When I bought my bike used, the lady who owned it was 5 ft tall and had the bike lowered by replacing the links in the rear suspension. I have been riding it like that for about 500 miles. I finally got it restored to 'default' height yesterday to accommodate my 5'10" height. Wow. Completely different. When the bike was low, it felt like the little cruiser at the MSF - wants to ride in a straight line. Taller, it feels much more flickable. Also, with the bike at the proper height, it feels much more balanced with more of my  weight further back on the bike.

absolutely. But it was my first bike, so I really didn't know what I didn't know about the handling.
