Title: vance and hines success
Post by: gregvhen on June 30, 2010, 09:23:59 PM
welded up an old vance and hines pipe that i pulled off a katana tongiht.  much much better sound. much better power.  Im still runin OEM replacement filter, and stock jets, but put some washers under the needles to raise them ever so slightly to richen up a little bit.  still have to pull the plugs tommarow after work to see how theyre burning because tonight i got all caught up with fun and what not.  but i think its running a pretty good mixture.  il post pics too if i can

:thumb: on the cheap pipe! I'm guessing that if the mid-range is better with the needles raised a little, then you'll likely need slightly bigger jets to keep it from being too lean at WOT. That's when a too lean mixture is most likely to cause damage.

Filter is actually keeping you from going lean as lindsay lohan. Anyway +1 all around will work.
Cool.
