Post by: jiggersplat on October 27, 2003, 09:06:07 PM
is there a trick to getting the diaphragms seated properly when putting the caps back on?

should be going almost by itself. At least in my carbs it lines up perfectly. Just Put the rubber lip into the groove that's in the carb.

the diaphragms seems to be a tad bit smaller than the grooves in the carbs.  if i try and stretch one side over, invariably the other side pops up.  i can sorta hold them all down, and get the cap on, but it's a bit precarious.

Mine were like that too. Putting the cap on forced them into the groove. At least, that's what happened with mine.

If you have them dry... they are a bit too small, if they are soaked in gas they swell up and are too big... I guess you know the answer by now. Put it in gas and let it soak up a little and then try it.
Cool.
