I thought usually like cars, 2011 models would come around in 2010 in the fall quarter. Why isn't the 2010 model for the GS500F available yet? I think I like the newer 2010 colors better.
Probably no 2010 model gs 500 for the USA.............still plenty of left over 2009, and even 2008, and even some 2007...........(we're almost in August...should be 2011 models coming out soon)
In case you have not been watching, the USA economy tanked.............nobody has any money so nobody is buying anything.........

There isnt even 2010 models on Suzuki's site. Where did you see any?
Suzuki did not import any 2010 models into the USA this year at all. That's trusted info, I work for a dealership.
Suzuki US site shows five 2010 model bikes were shipped to the US. The GZ250 and 4 offroad/motocross types:

They are starting to show 2011 models now:

When i bought my '09 in March the dealer told me there were no '10's. He was telling me he knew several dealers (including himself) who had TONNES of '09's just sitting there (he had over 30 when I bought mine). I'm in Canada and you can now get a new 2009F for $4799, new '09E's are $4399. The prices in my area are rock bottom for new models.

Same here in USA..............got 09 gs 500 for $4399 (and NO additional dealer fees, no destination, or prep fees.. that's the New Suzuki MSRP ......was like $5600 last year!
This is why I traded in my Honda 250 and my Honda scooter!!! Glad I did!

Over in the land of Oz....Suzuki sold c300 GS500s last year. Plenty of '09s around new..prices down..in the $7-8k range so not as good a deal as in North America. haven't seen any '10s here yet. So what are they doing in the Spanish Suzuki plant? Having a few beers and passing the time of day?

Sales were so bad in 09 that Suzuki didn't send 2010's
Interestingly, in Oz you can get an 2010 VStrom but I haven't seen details on any 2010 GS500s.
I'd like to see a Fuel Injected GS500. And with apparently no 2010 GSs, I wonder if they made Extra 09s as a carry over while they spent a year re-jigging the plant/whatever to make fuel injected models for 2011 seeing as no GS500s were sold in Europe in 09 (according to the wikipedia page) which would be due to their Emissions Rules meaning only EFI bikes could be sold.
Global Suzuki lists a color for the naked 2010 as Phantom Gray. I haven't seen any in the stores.
I don't know. Only speculation at this point. Might be a visit to a dealer to find out what They have been told to tell us.

EFI would be nice. My next bike MUST be fuel injected, I hate dealing with carbs and rejetting.
If you check the Suzuki Website, there's a tab for 2009,2010, and 2011 models. Based on what I've seen, I wouldn't expect a 2011 model GS500 either.
The GS isn't going to get fuel injection for a very long time. Doing so would require some modifications to the engine, a lot of electronics, and a price increase that would be hard to justify.
The pricing here for '09s was nuts this summer, my dealer was offering $3999, and I saw some on eBay from other dealers for $3650.

I totally agree!
We have 2 leftover GS500F's at the dealership I work at. Suzuki and all the other manufacturers weren't counting on the bike market to fall as much as it did, so a bunch of brand new, leftover older model bikes are still sitting in showroom floors across the country. Suzuki didn't send over any 2010 street models as far as I know, I think we had a few dirtbikes though.
We are already getting 2011's in stock now, but the prices are way, way up. Go buy your leftover '09s now.
