Just bought myself a pair of those too, I love em but the first thing that happened was the screw that goes through the ball and socket joint to hold the actual mirror on worked its way out due to the vibrations and the mirror fell off and went skipping down the road. now the mirror is chipped and its all scratched up. I would recommend those mirrors though, they have a great field of view. I can see the front door of a car next to me in the mirror and see almost the entire hood out of the corner of my eye while at the same time can see directly behind me.

Where did you get these?
They are all over on Ebay. Look for the ones that have two retaining clips and a screw that retains the glass. That makes the glass removable. You will need to take it out to Loctite the two screws that hold the glass portion to the stem. Trust me, I have ran this style for several years. So after taking those photos I was on my way to work when I noticed one of the mirrors wobbling a bit so i pulled over and noticed what I later read on here. The two screws behind the mirror that hold the mirror plate to the arm were coming loose, luckily I had the Allen key with so I just took the whole mirror off and emailed the seller as soon as I got home from work. They promptly emailed me back and are going to replace the mirror at no charge. I'm sure if the screws had some loc-tite stuff on them it would resolve the issue, it's just a matter of getting the mirror out and back in. Anyway, I'm gonna stick with these for now as they work very well and other than this small issue I'm very happy with them. For anyone looking at getting some mirrors like this I would agree with the previous poster and get the ones with the tab that you can easily take the mirror out to put some loc-tite if needed.
Do these produce the same vibration as stock? I have a GS500F and the mirror vibration is horrible. I can just barely see the image of a car in them.
Wow Rock I've got an "F" and never had vibration issues with the mirrors. Might wanna check your fairing screws they can vibe loose and cause more issues. You might need to get behind the black skirt and tighten down those nuts as well.
I now have the gsxr integrated mirrors and only have slight vibe at above 7,000 RPM. Others have put down my handy work with the mirrors so I won't waste your time with my waste as someone else put it. :icon_sad:

I've seen your wiki. Those look great :thumb: Unfortunately my fairings are scratched up quite a bit so I'll probably go the naked route. It's easier and a lot less expensive. Often I wish I chose autobody repair as a profession, haha.
Ahh Ok have fun with the bar end mirrors they seem pretty nifty :thumb: I did run some '83 CB900 mirrors when my bike was knocked over and my mirror was broken off!

Mirrors are about as impotant as your front brakes. So in that respect I don't care how "Goofy" my brakes look I am not going to put something " That looks cool" and is not functional on any motorcycle I ride!
I never said the stock ones looked "goofy"? and actually I can see a hell of a lot more with these new ones so they're MORE functional than my stock mirrors.
The non-F GS mirrors ARE goofy. SV Mirrors look better and function better.
