Okay, this is a kit that a guy I know is building (production is pretty big) for the GS500. I want to know what you guys think, and if there is any intrest in this kit. Its absolutley stunning. This is what the GS500F should have looked like from the factory.

I think that the kit is perfect. Im finidng out how Much it costs tomorrow. If there is enough demand, there will be an add in the for sale forum!
little red x
check it now, had to modify the URL
cant link files from your hotmail account!
Thast why i changed it, and now its good!!!
ok thats works. htat looks bad. but ive never heard of a GSR500E
If we can get it for close to the difference between the price of an E and an F, I'd say it's a homer.
Very sharp.
The Price for this kit is $800 app... give or take $50. So decently priced for such a sharp looking bike.
It's sweet-looking! Is it for the GS500E (old naked ones) or te new F?
painted? unpainted? what does it include?
looks like different guages there and an undertail..headlight..
that does look pretty bad ass, i really like the rear on it. I'd say keep us informed, if it actually goes to production i may have to pick one up
It is painted and everything. it includes the fairings, front and rear, with the lights and everything. Its very reasonable.
It is made to fit naked GS's.
That is an incredible kit. :thumb:
instead of paying 5 grand for a brand new fully faired gs we can pay 800 bucks and get one that looks better than an 04.
Is that a whole new tail or just undertail and lights? Also does he have it for the 89-2000 body style rears? If not how much for just the front section?
Yep, looks pretty trick. Put me down for one. Although now that the F is coming out does he really want to use the older gsxr style headlight?
what is included in the kit for $800?
I assume:
-Rear undertail
-taillight
-front upper/lower fairing
-headlight
-all mounting brackets
-unpainted
What happened to the luggage racks? They're gone since old taillight isnt there I suppose?
Do you need cliip ons (or Suburban bars) instead of handlebars?
Oh, so many questions.
Hey guys, I am getting all the info tomorrow evening. Its being sent to me.
I have to say, it does look amazing compared to the 04 GS. The fairing just look more proportioned. I think (even though I am selling my bike) Im getting one fitted on in a few weeks.
I will post all the information for you guys as soon as I get it. Like to the second!
AMAZING!!!
I wish mine looked like that
that looks so great!! omg!

I wish mine looked like that
im with you on this one.
okay, I want to know. if the price was about $800 give or take a bit, and it came with lots of good stuff (front fairing, rear end swap, lights etc, painted) how many people would actually consider buying it? I am trying to line up distribution, but it doesnt make sense to send set it all up, without knowing if there would actually be a demand.
well, if i had the money, i would probably buy it. But im poor (i just bought the gs) so i dont know if you want to count me or not . Now if i happen to "find" $800, then that would be VERY high on my list of things to get (as in #2, with progressive springs as #1).
Depends on what it comes with and the painting thing and the other questions.
it fully depends, if you get the full kit yes, painting doesn't really matter sice those colors don't match unless they are going to accomodate all colors
Is the rear hugger included?
Can the pieces be bought separately? I like having a naked bike, but I would love to have that under tail and the hugger.
more info!!!!
It looks impressive. I think the styling is better than the GS500F, the fairing seems a bit smaller and looks even more like a GSXR fairing. If the price is $800 and it's even painted for that price, this will be a winner.
Quote from: Rich500(even though I am selling my bike) Im getting one fitted on in a few weeks.
I have dibs on your bike when you decide to sell it, as long as its next year sometime
That is actually better than the 04 GS500F... why... cos it dont have that half-a-busa look... And that tail....drooool... Bet its not dot approved though and hence cannot show up on the stock bike...
Cool.
Srinath.
That is NICE!! Almost makes me sad that I've already got a Gimbel fairing waiting for me at home... ALMOST. I wouldn't mind grabbing the undertail. Will we be able to buy parts individually? I.e. could I just buy the undertail, that is, if it will be made to fit a prev. gen (89-00)?
Whats up?
All the info should be posted this evening. Im glad to see the postitive reaction. They have dont such a nice job on this kit.
Just check back either tonight or tomorrow morning and all the info should eb available!
Oh and Moose, My GS, consider it yours... as long as you dont mind meeting me half way between texas and Calgary...
That would work  Hell it might be cheaper to have it shipped, 2100 miles is a long way.
it looks like it only fits the newer model gs's...-=(
how would it come painted? do u get a new gas tank then?
If I can get the front fairing in custom Porsche Guard Red (colour of the rest of the bike) or unpainted for an '89, I'll take one.
p.s. That is the best avatar... EVER! :thumb:
Is that $800 CDN or USD?
OOOOOoooooooooooooooooh.
Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice!
Awesome.....
UNLESS>. you have an older style GS.. then obviously it will suck... especialy since the seat and tank would look different..etc..
that is by far the coolest gs i have ever seen. i think i could let myself spend 800 bones for a bike that looks that cool. keep us informed
I will buy one.
One question. Can I get that in a half-fairing?
so...............any word from the mysterious maker?
Why did it take 14 years to have 3 good choices: I mean the "old" TCP fairing, the new '04s and this new one???? I looks like such a big effort for a bike which was dead from natural causes a year ago... ha ha...
I like that much better than the 04 :thumb:
w00t damn that is just sExY
they did an amazing job on the kit, please keep us informed about the status... i would be really interested in the undertail and hugger.... they could maybe do something similar to what 2wheeljunkie.com did with their fairing kit for the SV650, you can buy the pieces individually or buy the complete kit and adjust prices accordingly, if you where to buy the pieces one at a time from 2wheeljunkie it would be more expensive than buying the complete kit all at once
anyways it gets my :thumb: :thumb:
Hey whats up everyone?
Currently, it is being decided whether or not, the individual pieces of the kit can be sold. The price is in US $$.
Hopefully, I can tell you exactly what is included tonight. Im waiting on an email.
If there is sufficient intrest, the kits will available. WE just need a minimum number to ship them to the USA. (They are custom made at a shop in Brazil where my friend lives. He does all the fabrication).
They really do a impecable job. Its seamless.
hey i want it, so count me in :thumb:
Okay everyone!
I have some good news and some bad news...well realtivley.
The kit shown, is more expensive than originally though. Its is $1150.00 but includes front fairing, rear setup, lights, hardware, everything to make it perfect!
It comes in black, or Blue only. Or you can have it unpainted.
The rear will not fit the older models, but the front will for sure.
You can buy the kit in 2 pieces however.
The front set up is $850 US.
The rear set up is $250 which is still pretty good when concidering what you get.
When I was quoted $800 give or take earlier, he thought I meant just for the front. Im am truley sorry about the confusion! Its hard when translating from portugese to english. I amke mistakes
So, in closing, the lights are included, fairings, hugger, and the other goodies you see. I will post if I have to revise this at all.
Im still going to be translating into English, so other ammendments may follow!
I will say just this.
MAGNIFISANT!
-Anti
The ANTIBODY LIVES!
damn. i thoght 800 bucks for the whole thing. that would've been a bargain. but it wouldnt matter much. i have a late model (89-00). and besides that i dont have 800 george washingtons to give away. if i did, that would probably be my first choice.

when you said it would also come in black would that match the paint jobs of the older models black paint jobs? i have a 98 so the tail piece is out of the question for me.
I assume it would match. I dont know the black of the pre 01 GS500. Maybe someone else could tell us it it would match or not. I believe it is the same though.
I cant wait to get the whole kit put on my bike!!!
I am compiling a list of people who would like one of the kits or both of them. If your intrested, post it, cause I have to reach a certain # before they can be shipped and produced!
What about shiping to the UK!!!
How much㣣㣣㣣㣣 in total for the front, back.
Inc shiping... :thumb:
Tony
I have a 99' so i cant use the tail, unless someone comes up with a way to do it in the future, but count me in for the front fairing
I want one but i probably won't commit until i see some people actaully get one. I'm extremely skeptical about sending any random person on the internet that i don't know that large of a quatitiy of money.
I am too Baker. Thats cool! My bike wont have mine installed untill december, becasue my bike is 4000km away.
Looks better than Suzuki's efforts!
LED's would look better though!

so whats the lastest news on this?
The news is, I am trying to compile a list of people who want a kit, to meet the import requirments.
If I can find a bike soon enough, I'm in the groupbuy.
rcnacura@aol.com is my email.
Just wondering if this should be a sticky so we can stay aware of this mod. and keep a good count of who would like to get it. thanks,
Brandon
what's the news on this? Do they have a website or additional pictures/information?
i want one. thats one of my xmas presents for this year that i know im not getting.
Yo, we can get it. Just Pm msg me, so i can tell him how many to produce. I will give you allt he contact info you are ihn direct contact with manufacturer.
I ahve been crazy busy at schoiol in last week, and havnt even been on the board. sorry about my lack of upkeep!
Hey I am new to the site, but I PM'd you two weeks ago regarding my interest in the kit. Whats the status on the information? Is there enough interest to have your friend ship them? How many kits are needed to meet the import requirements? Any news would be appreciated.
Take me off the list for now. Cant spend that kind of money right now (saving for that speed four :bs: ) and I have lots of questions about installation and how the wires that reside in the headlight bucket now get handled...
Really though, its money and the fact that I recently dropped my bike again (3rd time, first 2 in first month I had bike) reminding me why I got a naked.
i'll make this a sticky for a while so you can get some orders together.
is it possible to ship it to toronto, canada?
i just want the front...how much will it comes to with shipping and everything?
Finally!!! Here is the contact info for the fairing. The shop is in Brazil. THey will ship anywhere in the world.
The guys t the shop are great. Super friendly, very helpful.
mmotos@amazon.com.br or...
vendasmmotos@amazon.com.br
Email them, and they will hook you up!!!
are these guys trustworthy?
has anyone ever dealt with them before?
do they have a website?
I'm with frost...Do they have a website? I'd really like to see more pics and some specs of the kit. I am new here(17) and am really considering a gs500 but the new design in my opinion really stinks compared to this custom kit. If I can get a link with info specs and more pics and such...I'd be glad to chip in next year around june or july. :guns: :o :thumb: :nana:
There are a few additional pics up in the wall of fame...

sean@gs500e.co.uk
where can I get this? ok.. if I have this lights.. do i have to change a plastic thing too? **sowwy I have no clue about modifying a bike...**
Im not trying to rain on this but the pics are photo chopped there is no way look at the way the picture is blur and the floor changes colors to much over all blur to be digital pic if its true and the are real they would be at the major cycle shows whoring there products... haven't seen them...
Just me being real because I got burned once before buying from people out side the US... They take your money and run... but if there true to the game then they could send one of us a full set up mind you we could all chip in and draw straws who gets it. Then you can find out if there on the up and up.. and if the guy that is suppost to get them does then he pays back all people in the venture... this way no body is out 800-1100? cus I know I can get another bike for that much and can't afford to waste that type of cash.
I want to beleive I do but Peter Pan is a fairy tail and this maybe too.
:) extra !!!

HAS ANYONE DEALT WITH THESE PPL????
ANYONE?....
two weeks ago Rich500 said he was waiting for one to ship to him but i have not been able to get ahold of him to know if it got to him yet
Doesn't sound like they mass produce this stuff.
Looks like excisting parts custom fitted. Maybe they could tell us what parts.
Interested! :thumb:
dang...are these guys for real???
how hard is it to post a website?....
details would be good to have. IMO the factory should have included the -F 4-pot caliper from day one (or at least since say '96) and used the Bandit 400's 41mm forks for crying out loud from day one! I mean they already had the parts! And of course the bandit 400 rear wheel. the GS450 was a twin-shock so why they didn't just ditch the old GS tech and use Bandit pieces of exact same vintage is beyond me.
I gotta do something about my wheels some day. A little silver, a little red, mmmmm!
That may be the best looking kit I've seen. :thumb:
Depending on how hard it is to mount.
I'm going on record saying GStwin does not promote, endorse or support this company or the products. You are on your own. I am not involved with them nor do I know them.
I say this just in case a deal blows up in someone's face.
I posted the website, just so y'all can stop bitching.
I ordered mine from them, and it was fine, but I guess its all up to your judgement. I also have the Phone #'s if anyone wants it.
Ok guys! I bought a front kit and the real is this: with hard work (it is very dificult to install), repainting (YES... the shipping simply ruined the paint job) and some more money this kit really worth it. BUT it's NOT perfect... Any touch will brake (reaaaaaaally brake) the fairing (too much fragile).
The price to brazilians for just the front set is about US$700... So the price you have is great!
It have some project flaws, however. And this is why you will spend some money... e.g. to cut about 1cm out from the left side of the fairing and never forget to put a thermal sheet all over it.
Guys, i am working on several mods to my bike and as soon as i can (about mar-01) will post a great number of photos with the bad and good things on this fairing, what you will need to do and how to do.
To me, here in Brazil, this kit is absolutely a must have. The price is really good compared to the GS price (US$6,500) and when compared to other then... (US$22,000 for a Hayabusa) this kit becomes mandatory.
To Pablo: most of the mods i am doing are inspired from your fantastic web site. Thank you man!!!

Aw, hearing that makes it all worthwhile. If I can keep just one person from riding with a fender...
Glad you were inspired as I was! Document the installation of the fairing, including pictures of how it arrived (how many peices, condition, etc).
