Hey everybody, I purchased the dominator dual headlight and swapped it out with my F headlight. As you all know the F headlight has one 60/55W bulb. The dominator has two 60/55W bulbs. On Friday I noticed one of the dominator bulbs was terribly dim, almost not even lit, then today, they both went out. I hooked my F headlight up when I got home to see if it was the bike (fuse) or headlight. Luckily it came on so I know it's the bulbs/light. I took the dominator apart and put the bulb from my F headlight in on side and it was a direct fit which was good. I plugged it up and it came right on. So, it's the bulbs that came with the dominator that are blown evidently.
Here's my question: would running TWO 60/55W bulbs at the same time be what has caused them to blow? Should I swap those two out with 35/35W bulbs? I know nothing about electrical/lighting components so some wisdom from someone who does would be greatly appreciated!
Another question: know where to get bulbs locally? Wal-Mart carry em? Hardware stores?
On another note, this is a picture from today's 250 mile ride through the twisties of north Georgia.

Fantastic Pic!
im pretty sure the bulbs are H4 sized so just look for those. are you running high/low? or just both lights on at once? or do both lights have high/low?
I believe that the dominators work by using one headlight for low, and then both on high? Is that right?
Is it possible that when the light are on high the bulbs are pulling more power than the bike can supply and therefore it drains the battery so u start to see it dim?
My friend has dominators in his Seca II and his were super dim even when he reved it. I really like the dominators and am considering buying some but when I ever saw how dim his were it kinda put me off. Its possible they just ship with really crappy bulbs.

I replaced both the bulbs and they're working again. Any other advice would be great though. Btw, the work both as high or low simultaneously.

Oh really, good to know. Im almost positive my friends was set up so that only the right light was on when they low beam was selected and both were on when the high was selected. I wonder if he has a dead low on the left side haha.
