Title: Sold my GS, pretty short notice
Post by: kyle_99_gtp on August 21, 2010, 09:10:09 AM
It was pretty interesting how it all went down, too. I recently decided that I really want a Subaru Impreza WRX, so I put my GTP up for sale last week. The first guy that came to look at it decided he wanted it before he even saw it, and then when he came to check it out he was absolutely convinced he was buying it.

How does this relate to selling my GS? When he showed up to check out the car, the garage was open and all of our bikes were in there (My GS and R6 and my dad's FJR and VMax) and he immediately walked into the garage and started checking out the bikes. He starts asking if we were selling any of them, and I had been toying with the idea of selling the GS although I wasn't sure I wanted to. I told him I'd consider selling the GS and he said he'll take it too.

Anyhow last night he came back and picked up them both (I spent all week demodding the car, $3500 in parts weren't about to go with the car for 3K) and I rode the GS to his house for him. Ended up get $4700 for the car and the bike together, which I'm pretty happy with.

Just thought I'd let you guys know though, since you've all been great and have helped me with a lot of things about the bike. I'll stop in once in a while and give you updates on the R6 and throw up some pictures of whatever WRX I find too (Hopefully WR Blue with gold wheels, just like the 6, I like blue and gold together).

Take care everyone and ride safe!

cool

will you be getting the 2migillion hp version, or the 1 bagillion + 2 migillion hp version ?

we were washing dishes tonight and heard someone playing in a evo or scooby around the corner. there is this one corner, that's just perfect for a drift or two... ;-)

Good job. Hopefully mine will go that easy(I mean... not easily... ) when spring comes around. I really need to get on top of cleaning it up so it's ready when the time comes. Gotta figure out why the choke doesn't work, why it bogs out at full throttle, and just clean up the tail swap in general.

Well I'm bumping more than year old thread, but since I came back to bump a FS thread I had I figured I might as well be polite and say hello :D

Hope everyone is doing well and has been riding safe! I really miss riding, haven't had a bike for a while now. I'm not out of the game forever, I kept all my gear but I'm taking a break and concentrating on some other interests right now.

I didn't end up finding a WRX like I had hoped to after selling the Grand Prix and the GS500F and I needed a car for school, Ended up buying a Cobalt SS Supercharged. I had it for about 6 months, hated every day of it. I decided to start looking for a scooby again and sold my R6 in January of 2011 to get some extra cash to throw at a used STi. I found one in May of this year and have been very happy with it ever since:
